Attorney Keith Kleinick is a licensed structured settlement advisor and broker who, since 2005, has been a consultant with Creative Capital, an attorney-run firm specializing in planning and implementing structured settlements. Creative Capital provides expert guidance in 50a/50b judgment analysis, and frequently educates judges and attorneys.
Keith brings a unique perspective to his business gained from a successful legal career—a career highlighted by many significant verdicts and settlements obtained while working for high-profile New York law firms.
"I have had the honor of working with Keith on two separate structured settlement cases. His insight as an attorney has been quite effective in representing the client and allowing for an outcome that is in the claimant's best interest. His integrity, diligence and knowledge is above reproach and he is easy to work with as well. Everyone wins who deals with Keith professionally and personally." – Jeanne Brutman, CFBS, CFS, LUTCF
After graduating from Brooklyn Law School in 1989, he began his legal career with Schneider, Kleinick & Weitz, one of New York's preeminent personal injury law firms. In 1994, the firm merged to form Schneider, Kleinick, Weitz, Damashek & Shoot. This successful firm joined with nationally recognized attorney Johnnie L. Cochran in 1999, Jr. to become The Cochran Firm, Schneider, Kleinick, Weitz, Damashek & Shoot—where Keith was named a partner. He co-founded Weitz, Kleinick & Weitz in 2001. In 2005, Keith co-founded Kleinick & Associates, where he works with his father, Arnold Kleinick, as a structured settlement specialist and attorney.
During his years of practicing law, Keith successfully managed a wide range of personal injury cases, many of them highly complex. For example, he obtained:
- A judgment of $1.5 million for the estate of a business owner who was killed in a two-car collision
- A judgment of $3.8 million in the case of a pedestrian who suffered permanent disabling injuries when the parapet of an exterior wall collapsed on him
- A judgment of more than $4 million for a victim who, after being struck by a New York City School Safety Vehicle, required a leg amputation
